Storm concerns force closure of Silver Star bike park

Silver Star Mountain Resort has shut down its bike park for the remainder of Wednesday because of a possible storm.

The forecast calls for potential lightning and unsettled weather.

"This decision is based on the information we have and guest safety being paramount," said Anne Haight, director of sales and marketing.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the entire Okanagan, advising of locally heavy rain and thunderstorms.
