Vernon RCMP investigating reports of shots fired downtown

Vernon RCMP are investigating reports of shots fired in downtown Vernon.

The report came in Tuesday morning around 8 a.m. from the vicinity of the Fruit Union Plaza and Green Valley Motel.

RCMP cars could be seen surrounding the motel, and there were also three cars located along 39th Street as police searched for suspects involved.

The RCMP helicopter is also involved in the search for suspects.

There are no reports of injuries.
