Blaze damages shed

Fire and police officials are investigating an early morning fire Monday that is being labelled suspicious.

The fire broke out around 2 a.m. Monday on Middleton Mountain in the area of Mt. Bulman Place.

The fire heavily damaged a children’s play shed and a considerable portion of grass.

“It’s being treated as suspicious because we have no reason as to why the fire would have started,” said Vernon RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.
