It was a sister act of deja vu at Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club on a hot afternoon as Linda Matile recorded her first hole-in-one on No. 7.

The strangest part about this ace was that it happened to her sister, Jessica Bitar, who got a hole-in-one nearly four years to the day, on the same hole.

“Hers was on July 26,” said Matile, who shot her own ace 1,461 days later, on July 27.

The two were golfing together back then, but Bitar missed this one because she lives in Texas.

Using her seven iron, Matile said her tee shot bounced near the sand before she lost sight of it.

“I didn’t even see it go in, but my husband did. He wanted to be the first one to see it,” said Matile.

Matile can’t even recall what she shot over nine holes but will always remember the seventh hole.

“It felt pretty good. I’ve never got one before. I’m not a huge golfer, I have only been out about five times this summer,” said Matile.
