We’ll know tonight what direction voters have taken B.C.

The polls officially closed at 8 p.m. and the counting of ballots now gets underway.

At stake is control of the government and the Liberals, the NDP and the Greens are all in the running.

In Vernon-Monashee, the candidates are New Democrat Barry Dorval, Liberal Eric Foster, Libertarian Don Jefcoat and Green Keli Westgate.

The options in Shuswap are Green Kevin Babcock, Liberal Greg Kyllo, New Democrat Sylvia Lindgren and Libertarian Kyle McCormack.

Races are also underway in Kelowna-Lake Country and Kelowna West, which includes the North Westside Road area.
