The tide is rolling into the Okanagan Indian Band’s administration office.

Ground water is rolling into the basement of the office on Westside Road Friday.

“It’s the first time we’ve ever had to deal with this,” said Chief Byron Louis.

“We have moved all of the old files out.”

Employees continue to work in the upper levels of the office.

The band is also keeping an eye on Six Mile and Whiteman’s creeks as roots are blocking culverts.

“It’s incredible how much it’s gone up,” said Louis of the water level.
