Compost is available for North Okanagan gardeners.
RDNO-Gro is now available at the Greater Vernon landfill while quantities last.
“The material is available to residents free of charge for personal use,” said Dale Danallanko, the Regional District of North Okanagan’s recycling and disposal facilities operations manager.
A Free Compost sign has been placed at the pile which is located near the yard waste drop-off entrance. Customers must load their own vehicles.
“RDNO-Gro has been used for various landscaping projects in the region as well as two landfill closure projects,” said Danallanko.
