Everyone loves a Falkland Stampede parade

The popular parade returns at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by rodeo action at 2 p.m.

The 102nd Falkland Stampede made a triumphant return Saturday, May 21, at the Stampede Grounds off Highway 97.

And the May long weekend fixture in the North Okanagan – cancelled the past couple of years because of COVID – continues Sunday.

Sunday Morners Breakfast is on until 11 a.m., and runs 8-11 a.m. on the final day of the Stampede, Monday, May 23.

Cowboy Church goes Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

The return of the Falkland Stampede Parade kicks off at 12:30 p.m. through the community. Motorists, please be aware of the activity.

The Canadian Professioanl Rodeo Association event begins in the arena at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Full throttle Trick Riders, Shelby Pierson and Piper Yule, putting on a halftime show.

The Stampede concludes Monday with the rodeo beginning at 1 p.m.

Environment Canada is calling for a mainly sunny day Sunday, and a 40 per cent chance of showers on Monday.
