An arrest was made after a vehicle allegedly rammed through Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

On Sunday at 4:35 a.m., the RCMP received a report of a vehicle crashing into the ambulance emergency entrance at VJH.

“On arrival, officers found an unoccupied green Chevrolet Cruze with a B.C. licence plate that had rammed through the emergency entry doors. No one was injured in the incident,” said Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

Hospital security advised the officers that the driver had left the vehicle and had allegedly broken into an administrative building by smashing a window.

“At the time of the incident, the area of the building was unoccupied,” said Moskaluk.

Officers searched the building and located a suspect hiding in a room. Furniture and other equipment had been damaged.

It was later confirmed that the vehicle was stolen from Winnipeg July 17 and the B.CC. licence plate was also stolen.

Christian Talbot, 44, of Thunder Bay Ont., is charge with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and mischief.
