RCMP officers are investigating the report of an indecent act on the Okanagan Rail Trail.
The incident occured Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the one-kilometre mark from Kickwillie Loop Road in Coldstream.
“The female complainant stated that an unknown male was in a wooded area and was observed masturbating,” said Cpl. Dan Moskaluk, with the RCMP.
“The man continued to masturbate and began walking toward the complainant and acknowledged her verbally. The woman ignored the man and as she looked over to get her dog out of the water, the man saw the dog and put his genitals back in his shorts and departed the area.”
The Caucasian male is 45 to 50 years old and about five-foot-1o. He was wearing dark shorts.
“The RCMP ask the general public to report any other similar incidents of this nature and for those who use the rail trail in this area, to be aware of the reported incident,” said Moskaluk.
