Construction on Kalamalka Lake Road will be postponed as work dependent on BC Hydro is currently delayed as a result of the province’s state of emergency.
The exact length of the delay is unknown at this time.
The anticipated completion for Phase 1 construction is Aug. 6. Commencement of Phase 2 construction and the road closure on Kalamalka Lake Road from Browne Road to the City boundary is currently scheduled to begin Aug. 8.
BC Hydro will be providing a further update regarding timelines to the City of Vernon July 21.
