A Lake Country convenience store clerk was unharmed following an armed robbery during the early hours of Sunday morning.

A lone male entered the store on Highway 97 shortly before 3 a.m., produced a knife and demanded money, according to the police.

He was given an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the store on foot.

The store employee was unhurt during the incident.

The RCMP attended with the police services dog and followed a track to a neighbouring residence, where the suspect was seen inside.

A 16-year-old Kelowna male was arrested and taken into custody.

The suspect faced charges of robbery in court Monday.
