Five small North-Okanagan, Shuswap and Revelstoke businesses are being recognized as some of the best in the province. Each of the five businesses are among the top 10 semifinalists for an award category at the Small Business BC Awards.
Raw gluten-free vegan crisp producer Okanagan Rawsome Natural Foods from Grindrod is one of 10 businesses which are finalists for the Premier People’s Choice Award.
Focus Ability WorkAble Solutions located in Salmon Arm works to bridge the gap between adults with autism and other developmental challenges and employers who can benefit from their special skills. Focus Ability is a finalist for the Best Concept Award.
The Courtyard Gallery in Enderby is one of the businesses in the running for the Best Community Impact Award.
Dynamic Avalanche Consulting Ltd., which is headquartered in Revelstoke but serves clients throughout Western Canada, the United States, Chile, Argentina and New Zealand could be awarded the Best Company accolade.
Wyssen Canada Inc., a subsidiary of a Swiss avalanche control firm based in Revelstoke, is a finalist for the Best International Trade award. Wyssen is the company behind the remote avalanche control towers located near Three Valley Gap.
Winners will be announced at the Small Business BC Awards held on Feb. 23 in Vancouver.
