Man’s death treated as homicide

The death of a man whose body was found on the side of rural Vernon road last week is being investigated as a homicide.

The body of Dustin Josef Rogers, 26, was found near the intersection of Wilson Jackson Road and Jordashe Road, both of which are off Keddleston Road on the way to Silver Star Mountain Resort. Rogers’ body was found shortly before 7:30 a.m. March 23.

“RCMP and the Major Crimes Unit are continuing their investigation into the man’s death, and are piecing together a timeline of Rogers’ activities on the days prior to his body being discovered,” said RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.
