The brother of a Kelowna woman is asking for help in finding his sister who has apparently gone missing in South America.

Julie Anne Baker was last seen in Lima, Peru more than two weeks ago.

Her brother Russel Dupley is reaching out on social media saying it is unlike his sister to not contact family or reach out to friends.

Baker’s social media has not had any recent activity and on May 1, her Facebook account was deleted.

The 37-year-old’s mother Lynne Currie-Tickell says circumstances very concerning as any and all communication abruptly stopped.

According to family it is possible Baker could be in Brazil, Costa Rica or Panama.

Baker is described as:

  • 37 years-old
  • Caucasian female
  • Sleeve tattoo
  • Blonde hair
  • 5 feet 6 inches tall
  • 110 to 115 pounds

Those with information regarding Baker’s whereabouts are asked to call 1-800-387-3124.
