Vernon drivers are being reminded that one-way driving is now in effect on 28th and 29th avenues.

Watch for the red and white ‘No Entry’ signs and the one way arrows showing the direction that drivers will have to travel.

On Monday, eleven parking stalls were moved from 30th Street to 28th and 29th avenues. To ensure drivers can access the angled parking, these streets were designated as one way traffic.

Pedestrians crossing these streets will benefit from shorter crosswalks and by having traffic approaching from only one side.

The Pay & Display multi-space stations are due to be installed mid- to late August. Until that time, temporary two-hour parking signs will be installed for the angled parking.
