The Regional District of North Okanagan has finalized its financial plan.

Directors approved the 2017 budget unanimously Wednesday.

“We held the line on costs and we’re delivering services at a reasonable rate,” said Hank Cameron, director.

The budget calls for expenses of $88.6 million compared to $63.6 million in 2016.

Much of the increase is related to borrowing payments for the BX-Swan Lake fire hall expansion and a new ice sheet at Kal Tire Place.

The impact of the budget on taxpayers will vary between jurisdiction depending on the services received from the regional district. The tax impact may also differ in some neighbourhoods based on services provided, such as water, sewer and street lights.
