The Salvation Army in Vernon will be open at its House of Hope location at 32nd Avenue and 33rd Street Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., conducting hamper interviews for those who are unable to apply during its regular business hours on hamper interview days, which wrap up today (Thursday).

“We understand that many people have full time jobs during the day and we want to give them the opportunity to apply if need be,” said Lt. Stefan Reid, Corps officer/executive director of the Salvation Army in Vernon.

“We also want to remind people that when they arrive to apply for a Christmas Hamper, they must bring IDs for everyone in the household along with all income and expenses. This will make the process of applying much smoother.”
