Vernon Search and Rescue members were called out again.
On Monday afternoon, the volunteer unit received a report of a hiker who had broken her leg in the Westshore Estates area, off of Westside Road.
“The team responded to the trail head and using the stretcher wheel, they were able to bring the hiker to the waiting
ambulance,” said Pete Wise, with Vernon SAR.
This was the fourth callout for unit in four days.
