Motorists passing through Lumby will experience some delays due to construction.

Construction will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily on Highway 6 at Vernon Street until Nov. 11. The road will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic.

And until Nov. 8, the highway will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic with five-minute delays for steel pipe installation.

The work is for the re-start of the phase two Village of Lumby water improvement project, which was put on hold in early May when the major flood event occurred.

A steel casing will be laid across Highway 6 and both the old and new water mains will be charged to make the service connection change overs.
