A build up of debris following Tuesday’s wind storm has led to the City of Vernon temporarily closing the Tronson Road boat launch in Okanagan Landing.

Crews are removing debris and the launch is expected to re-open by 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Boating on Okanagan and Kalamalka Lakes is strongly discouraged while while the lakes are at flood levels.

The City of Vernon is keeping boat launches open for boat owners needing to remove their vessels from the water.
