Quick action kept a truck fire from spreading in Lumby early Sunday morning.

Firefighters were called to a residence on Pemberton Road at 6 a.m.

“A civilian kept it under control with a garden hose until our arrival,” said Tony Clayton, fire chief.

The fire did not spread into an adjacent garage but the truck sustained significant damage.

The cause is still being investigated but it could be electrical in nature.
