Vernon RCMP seek robbery suspect

Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who was caught on video allegedly robbing a fast food outlet on Sunday, Aug. 13.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at the Peachwave Frozen Yogurt Store on 27th Street in Vernon.

“No weapon was revealed during the incident but the male would not show his left hand, leaving the clerks to believe he had a weapon,” said Cpl. Dan Moskaluk. “Police were on-scene within minutes but did not locate the suspect.”

The Caucasian male suspect appears to be in his late 30s. His clothing was observed in the photograph as being a two-toned jacket (grey/black) with a bright yellow zipper and jacket liner, grey sweat pants, with white and black runners.
