Notice of Amendment and Renewal Lease

In accordance with Sections 26 and 94 of the Community Charter, the City of Vernon hereby advises of its intent to amend and renew the lease for Management Unit 5 with the Vernon Seed Orchard Company, used for silviculture and as part of the spray irrigation program, for a thirty-five-year term commencing January 1, 2024. The lease will be amended to add the approximately 9.4 acre portion of Rem Lot A, Plan KAP2591, Section 19 & 20, Township 9, District Lot 62, ODYD to the approximately 194.6 acres of Lands in the lease with a legal description of: Lots 1, 2, Plan KAP192, Section 20, Township 19, ODYD and Lots 3, 4, 5, Plan KAP192, Section 19 & 20, Township 19, ODYD and Lot 6 Plan KAP192, Section 19, Township 9, ODYD and Lots 16, 17, 18, 19, 26, 27, 28, 29, Block E, Plan KAP210, Section 20 Township 9 ODYD. Base rent lease rates for the first five years are as follows: 2024 - $65,310, 2025 - $67,270, 2026 - $69,230, 2027 - $75,540, 2028 - $76,500, and each subsequent five years of the term will be determined by appraisal.
