August 4, 1933 – August 29,2004. Mrs. Agnes Pekar of Westbank formerly of Vernon and Nanoose Bay passed away suddenly, Agnes is lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by her husband, Edward; three sons, Jeffrey (Florence), Christopher (Marcia and Paul), Matthew (Terrie and three grandchildren, Brittany, Chelsea and Brett); also her two sisters, Sylvie Cioran and Norma Ducau; also other relatives and friends. Agnes was born in Hamilton, Ontario where she became a registered nurse. Paused for sixteen years to raise three sons, then returned to nursing specializing in geriatric care. She lived throughout North America as family was moved across the continent. Her passions were love of family, her faith and her profession. Books, culinary arts, bridge and golf became important pastimes. She was loved by and will be missed by many.
