We regret to announce the death at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on January 3, 2003, of Mr. ALEXANDER BILLICK, at the age of 84 years. Alex was born in Sandy Lake, Manitoba, and has been a resident of the Vernon area since 1926. He was a veteran, serving with the Canadian Army during the Second World War. Alex was an employee of Canadian Pacific Railways for a number of years, and was employed by the Carpenters Union for many years prior to his retirement. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Elizabeth; siblings: Steve, Michael, Marie, Lenore, and Rose; and by a granddaughter, Cathryn. Alex will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Olga; daughters Elizabeth Binette of Chilliwack and Alexandra (Johnnie) Wityshyn of Edson, Alberta; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers: Peter (Elinor) Billick of Port Coquitlam, Paul Billick of Armstrong, William Billick; sister Anne (Bill) Loshney of Armstrong; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, with Padre Brian Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Alex to either the B.C.
