In his spare time, Alex enjoyed his family, gardening and donating his vegetable crops to the Lumby Food Bank. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Kathrina; brothers, Nickolas and John; sisters, Helen and Doris. Alex is survived by his siblings: Dmytro, Marie, George, Steve, Peter and William. He will be loved and missed always by his wife, Betty; children: Daniel (Tina), Tara (Gary), Joseph (Loralea); grandchildren: Jason, Shanna, Patrick; great-grandchildren: Matayah, Shelby; numerous nieces, nephews and long-time friends. Many thanks to the staff at Gateby for their care and support in his final days. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Cherryville Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to follow at the OAP Hall in Lumby.
