ALICE LAVIOLETTE

The family of ALICE LAVIOLETTE sadly announce that she passed away on October 26, 2002 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her husband Herman in 1988, two brothers, Fred and Sidney and three sisters, Emma, Martha and Pauline, and her son-in-law Ronald Foisy. She is survived by two sons, Ernest (Marilyn) of Cherryville, Gerald (Elda) of Lumby, three daughters, Jean (David Sidnick) Frizzell of Lumby, Theresia (Jim) Porterfield of Kamloops and Eva (Larry) Rodger of Kelowna; 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Alice is further survived by nine brothers and sisters, Christine, Amanda, Carl, Arthur, Annie, Adeline, Dinah, Albert and Edith. Alice lived in the Lumby and Kamloops area most of her married life. Her kitchen was her greatest hobby as she enjoyed cooking very much and her love of flowers, gardening and her family will always be remembered. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church on Wednesday October 30, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. A reception will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Church.
