ALMA BASSLER

Mrs. Alma Bassler passed away in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Sunday, May 6th, 2007 at the age of 82 years. She will be lovingly remembered by three daughters, Lilly Flather of Langley, B.C., Alice (Wayne) Butcher of Sparks, Nevada and Jackie (George) Bagnall of Windsor, CT; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Jobe (Freda) Martin of Hanna, Alberta; one sister, Elsie (Barry) Johnson of Coquitlam, B.C. and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Bassler; one son-in-law, Barrie Flather and one brother, Alfred Martin. Jack & Alma owned and operated the High Spot Café in Keremeos for 25 years and Alma was known for her great cooking and warm hospitality. The Funeral Service will be held at Living Word Lutheran Church, 6525 Okanagan Landing Road, on Friday, May 11th, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Al Pinno officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
