Alyce Christianson

In loving memory of our dear Mother who passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2006 at the age of 79. Mom was born in Gravelbourg, SK on June 16, 1927, to Richard and Martha De Wulf and was the oldest of

four daughters.

She is survived by her daughter Corinne Almas (Fote) of Kelowna, son Robert Tompson (Pam) of Mara, cherished grandchildren, Jasmine Zunic (Val) of San Diego, John Almas of Kelowna, Garrett Tompson of Yellowknife, Natalie Sherwood (Greg) of

Salmon Arm, sisters Jean Marsh of Nanaimo and Irene Enns (Abe)

of Abbotsford as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mom was a long time resident of Vernon who many will remember as an employee at Super Value and Nolans Drugs. She made many friendships along the way and would often tell us how much she

enjoyed the staff at the stores she frequented, particularly Butcher Boys, Coopers and Hogarth Pharmacy. Mom enjoyed attending

exercise class at Ladies World Health and Fitness and was very fond

of all of her exercising partners.

Mom was predeceased by our father, Donald Tompson, in 1958 and her second husband, Donald Christianson in 1990, her sister Yvonne Donnelly, her mother Martha and her father Richard.

We would like to thank Mom’s caring neighbours at Somerset Downs who openly showed their love and concern for Mom. We would also like to thank Dr. Williams, Dr. Botell and the caring staff of Interior Health, especially Karen and Barb, for all their kindness shown towards Mom. She was very grateful to have you all in her life!

A Celebration of Alyce’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday,

October 24 at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with a graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the

charity of your choice.

Mom, We love You and will miss you forever!
