October 28th, 1934 – July 30th, 2017
Andrew passed away peacefully from this life at Hospice House in Vernon, B.C. after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was born into a large family in Rockyford, Alberta and moved to Vernon when he was 13 years old.
Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his wife Beverly and her two children, Richard (Jana) Joyce and Marcie (Patrick) Emrich; his daughter, Shelley (Larry) Cadden; his son, David (Krista) Stinn; his grandchildren, Leanne and Mike Cadden, Kyle and Wade Stinn, Morgan and Kyle Joyce and Evan and Amber Emrich; his great-grandchildren, Cash, Sophia, Kane, Ellie and Avery. Once a family of 13 children, Andrew has left behind his sister; Patricia Dorigo of Vernon, B.C. and his brothers, John Stinn of North Vancouver, B.C. and Bryan Stinn of Vernon, B.C. along with 2 generations of nieces and nephews, numerous extended family members and friends.
The Stinn family will always be known for their commitment to hard work. Andrew was fiercely proud to be part of any and all projects from farming to construction work that his family was involved with. He always opened a conversation with a firm handshake and the question, “how’s work going?”
Andrew will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his devotion to his family and his work.
Prayers will be recited at St. James Catholic Church on Friday, August 18th, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Father Peter Nguyen celebrant. A Reception will follow in the St. James Parish Centre.
