Anthony Peter Anchikoski

Anthony (Tony) Peter Anchikoski, born February 8, 1932, was called home by Christ on Saturday September 25, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. He leaves behind Olga, his loving wife of 55 years; his sons Peter (Donna) and Randy (Kelly); his daughters Dawn and Lita (Tim). Tony had nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He leaves behind his two brothers Walter and Basil and his “spare” families Cliff (Mae) Boettcher and Ray (Nadeen) Schulte. Tony was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Anne; his brothers James, Nick, and John; his sisters Rose, Helen, and Amelia. Tony continues to love, support, and guide his family. In life he thrived on working outdoors in the fresh country air, or in his shop on various projects. He appreciated great music and was a talented artist. He loved his pets and his garden. God endowed Tony with an incredibly creative mind which he used to the betterment of his friends and neighbours. He enjoyed conversation, argument, and debate and was a long time outspoken advocate of pro-life issues. He passionately desired a better world – we pray that he has now found it! Prayers will be recited on Wednesday September 29, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday September 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Both at St. Ann’s Catholic Church (Hwy 97A Enderby BC).
