Arthur Wraight

Arthur Stanley Wraight passed away peacefully at Pleasant Valley Manor on Sunday, March 4, 2007. Aged 89 years. Born in Alberta, Stan was a long time resident of Peachland, before and after serving with the Canadian Forces during WWII. He also lived in Revelstoke, Enderby and finally Armstrong. Stan will be lovingly remembered by children Wendy (John) Walker of Revelstoke, Billey(Tina) Wraight of Kelowna and Eugene (Sandy) Wraight of Armstrong; grandchildren Jeanette (Keith) Starling, Jamie Walker and Jim (Yvonne) Walker, Natasha Wraight, Victoria Wraight, Alexandra Wraight, Trisha Redman and Tyler Redman; four great grandchildren Isaac, Micah, Korah and Landon; sister Kay Thom of Penticton; nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends, predeceased by wife Florence in 2000 and baby daughter Julie. Stan enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, playing cribbage and enjoying a cool one with family and friends. He belonged to the Legion and was a hard working member of the Riverside Community Centre. A Celebration of Stan’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation and arrangements in the care of Personal Alternative Funeral Services, Armstrong. 546-7237.
