Bernice Delyla Steel was born October 3rd, 1952 and at the age of 57 years passed away Thursday morning February 4th, 2010 at Vernon, British Columbia.
On May 22nd, 1976 Bernice married Noel Steel. All their married life was spent living in Vernon. For twenty years Bernice was a faithful and valued worker at Rogers Foods where she worked until ill health forced her to retire. Bernice was a lover of nature and there was nothing she loved more than to camp out with her husband and their three boys. She expressed much interest in the classic cars the boys acquired. She loved the Lord and was faithful in attendance at the Vernon-Seventh Day Adventist Church and later at the Grandview Flats Seventh-Day Adventist Church. When younger she led out in the Children’s Divisions.
Her family was very precious to her and they always did things together. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband, Noel, to whom she was married for thirty-three years; her three sons: Joe, Ian and Nathan. Further cherishing her memory are her two sisters: Caroline Campbell and Maxine Hawes.
The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7th, 2010 at the Grandview Flats Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4679 North Grandview Flats Road, Armstrong, with Pastor Cameron Koronko officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a memorial donation in Bernice’s memory to North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506–27th Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
