Brittany Raquel SMITH

SMITH- Brittany Raquel Smith, beloved daughter of Danusia and Bill Tarr of Vernon, B.C. and Brian and Lynette Sinclair Smith of Calgary Alberta, was tragically taken on May 10, 2005 in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Born February 14, 1986 in Vernon, BC, Britanny is survived by her sisters, Erika Smith of Vernon and Keely Sinclair Smith of Calgary; brothers, Liam, Jacob and Wyatt Tarr of Vernon, BC; her grandmother Mary Smith of Calgary, AB; grandparents Glenn and Myrna Gorham of Vernon, BC; grandmother Thelma Tarr of Vernon, BC; grandparents Robert and Dorothy Sinclair of Calgary, AB; great-grandfather Irwin Brown of Claresholm, AB; aunts and uncles, Valerie Smith, Garry (Linda) Smith, Brenda Smith, Ray (Jodi) Gorham, Craig (Kirsten) Gorham, Roshanne (Sean) Green and many, many loving great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and step-families. Brittany has gone to a happy reunion with her grandfathers, Richard Smith and Bill Tarr and great-grandmother Emma Brown. Brittany will be fondly remembered for her love of poetry, art and music. She was an independent, outgoing person who would talk to anyone and always had a soft spot in her heart for the underdog. Everyone who met her remembered her. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1506-35th Street, Vernon, BC on Friday, May 27, 2005 at 7:00 PM. For those that wish to so, donations in Brittany’s memory may be made to the North Okanagan Youth and Family Services (Mara House) or to The Vernon Women’s Transition House.
