Joyce Needoba passed away peacefully at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Vernon, BC after a brief struggle with cancer. Joyce was born November 22, 1938 in Biggar, SK. She was united in marriage to Don Needoba who preceded her in death In September 2011.
They spent many years farming in Salmon Valley, BC before working outside of the home.
Joyce worked for the Canada Employment Centre for over 20 years.
In her earlier years Joyce enjoyed gardening and was also a sports fan watching on TV all sports especially hockey.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Jason (Brandy) Needoba of Grand Forks and Tarra (Kent) Pedersen of Penticton, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A private celebration of life for immediate family members will be held. In lieu of flowers or donations please take this opportunity to spend quality time with your loved ones creating memories and strengthening your family bond.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center for their support in her final days and to Rick Carswell, her friend, who provided her with special care during her illness.
