Swiftly to the light,
oh gentle soul
Christopher Andrew Huculak passed
away peacefully on September 27th,
2008 at Hospice House.
Chris is survived by his loving wife,
Patty of 36 years; his daughter,
Heather of Calgary, Alberta and three
granddaughters: Jenn, Pam and Katie,
all of Calgary; his mother, Kay Huculak of Vernon; two brothers, Lawrence
of Winnipeg and Darryl (Selena) of Victoria, B.C.; two sisters, Marion
and Teresa both of Vernon and numerous nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by his father, Andy in 1974 and brother Greg in 1961.
Chris loved his family, friends, golfi ng, traveling, good scotch and a good
joke. He had a varied and fulfi lling working career, except for the few
years he spent working at a chain grocery store, running his own business
and trying his hand at life insurance. He was very happy and content to
have spent most of his working life with the Guidi family at Butcher Boys
Store in Vernon.
Prayers will be said on Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at St.
Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2210-40th Avenue, Vernon, B.C.
Mass of Christian Burial “Parastas” will be held on Friday, October 3rd,
2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church with
Father Andrit Wasylinko, Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas
Cemetery, Coldstream. A reception will follow at St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian
Flowers gratefully declined. Those friends wishing to make memorial
contributions in memory of Chris may do so to the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer
Clinic, 2101-32nd Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 5L2 or to Vernon & District
Hospice House Society, 3506-27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S4.
