Clarence Elwood (Clare) McGaw was born on June 22nd, 1915 in Thackeray, Saskatchewan and passed away in Noric House, Vernon, B.C. on October 23rd, 2008 at the age of 93 years.
Clare was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn; one grandson, Douglas Campbell; three sisters and one brother. He was a former resident of New Westminster and Langley and is remembered with love by his family; his daughter, Nancy (Lyall) Hanson of Vernon, B.C.; his sister, Clarissa Habkirk of Vancouver, B.C.; his grandsons, Michael (Kim) Campbell of North Vancouver, B.C. and their children, Matthew and Lauran; Warren (Beth) Campbell of Vernon, B.C. and their son, Nathan; and many nieces and nephews.
Clare was a member of Union-Solomon Masonic Lodge #9 in New Westminster and received his 50 year pin in 2007. He was a Past Guardian of Job’s Daughters in Surrey. He loved golfing and enjoyed ten years volunteering at the Bob Hope-Chrysler Classic golf tournament in Palm Springs.
Cremation preceded a Memorial Service which will be held at Valley View Chapel, 14644-72nd Avenue, Surrey, B.C. on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008 at 2:00 P.M.
