It is with deepest sadness that Dan’s Family announces his passing on May 14, 2007. Dan was born in Scotland on May 30, 1943. He came to Canada with his parents and sister in 1955. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lynne, two sons, John (Bonny) and Robert, daughter Barbara (John) Klinger, sister, Fiona, Aunt Chrissie (of Scotland), brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John (Shelley) Brooks, two nephews, Matt and Joe Brooks, Mother-in-law, Joan Brooks plus numerous other relatives in Scotland. He was predeceased by his father John (1963) and mother, Florrie (1999).

Dan’s job with B. C. Hydro took him to all parts of B. C. He was a member of the Vernon Elks Club for many years as well as the Legion. He loved the outdoors, enjoying many happy hours fishing and was an avid reader – never without a book in hand. He was an enthusiastic supporter of “Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion”.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held Saturday, May 26th, 2007 at 3:30 P.M. at the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, Vernon, B. C. Dan was a strongly devoted husband, father (soon to be grandfather) and brother. We were his world and he was ours. He will forever be missed and loved.
