DONALD ALEXANDER PRINGLE aged 84 years, passed away peacefully at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Wednesday, September 17, 2003. Survived by wife Margaret; four sons Ronald Pringle of Vancouver, James (Rosemary) of Winnipeg, John (Maureen) of Vancouver and Clifford (Donna) of Armstrong; two granddaughters Julie and Adrienne, four grandsons James, Ken, Aaron and Daniel; 3 great grandchildren; four sisters Agnes Down, Isabel Drinkwalter, Katherine (Roy) Mitchell and Mary Pringle; extended family and friends. Donald started his working career as a jockey, working all across Canada and the Pacific Northwest. A twenty-seven year veteran of the Armed Forces, Staff Sergeant D.A. Pringle, C.D., served during WWII and the Korean War. After leaving the forces he lived at Williams Lake where he worked at Gibraltar Mine. Upon retiring Don moved to the Armstrong area eighteen years ago. He enjoyed people and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. A Funeral Service will be held 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2003, at Mountain View Chapel. Pastor Greg Schmidt officiating. Interment in family plot of Armstrong Spallumcheen Cemetery.
