Ed Hiltz

We regret to announce the death at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on November 4, 2007, of Ed Hiltz, at the age of 75 years. Ed was born in Saskatchewan, and spent many years in Surrey prior to moving to the Falkland and Vernon area in 1972. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ed was predeceased by a daughter, Rene Garrett, in 1993. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Jo Ann; daughter Norma (Paul) McCreight, and son Jim (Rebecca) Hiltz of Fort McMurray. He is survived by grandchildren: James, Joshua and Joseph Garrett and Dillan Higginson. He is also survived by siblings: Tom, Ken, Irene, Marie, Audrey and Mae and their families. Ed was predeceased by brother Ernie and sister Frances. At his specific instruction, there will be no public service held.
