Frederick Edward (Eddie) Chaput, a loving husband, father and grandfather, was born and raised in Lumby, B.C. and passed away peacefully on January 30th, 2007 in Vernon, B.C. He will be fondly remembered by his loving wife, Kathy, to whom he was married for 53 years, his son, Jerry Chaput and his daughter, Sheri Bonnycastle, six grandchildren; Brittany, Justine, Carly, Brooklyn, Ashlee and Ciara, three brothers; Wallace (Rita) Chaput, Raymond (Lorraine) Ostrass and Joe (Merle) Ostrass, one sister; Mable (David) Henley, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters;

Helen Johnson and Clara Mercier. Eddie was involved in logging an farming for most of his life and was co-owner of Chaput Logging Sand & Gravel. He loved the outdoors and spent as much time as he could hunting, fishing and trapping. Later in life his special hobby was taking care of his rose garden. Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Eddie’s Life which was held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 at 2:30 P.M. with Pastor Greg Jeske officiating.
