Edna Pearl Couturier - It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Edna on June 17, 2017 in Vernon, BC. She was born in Mortlach, SK on April 18, 1934.

Edna is survived by her husband George; son Alan (Sue); granddaughters: Kaitlyn (Tom) and Victoria; great-granddaughters: Jayda, Khloe, and Stella; brothers: Cliff and Cecil (Barb); many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents Margaret and Gerry Hills, sisters Inez and Muriel, and brother Alfred (Buster).

Edna moved from Burnaby to Vernon 23 years ago. Edna and George would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 28, 2017. Edna loved to bake, along with doing all kinds of needle work, helping with the boy scouts guild, going to functions at the Schubert Centre and she especially loved the birthday lunches once a month at the centre.

She will be remembered for her generosity and beautiful smile and she was loved by many. She loved taking George out by taxi for fish and chips from Heron Grove where they have resided for the last year.

No service will be held but a Celebration of Life Tea will be held at a later date.

Thank you to Dr. Borchet and the nurses for all her care while in the Hospital. Donations may be made in Edna’s name to the Schubert Centre (3505 30th Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 2E6). Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.MyAlternatives.ca.
