Emil Frank Storvold
April 23, 1925 - September 26, 2017
Emil Storvold passed away peacefully on September 26, 2017.
He will be dearly missed by his devoted partner, Anne Pearson, his daughters Lana (Wayne) Pollard, Karen (Ron) Armstrong, and Leslie (Dean) Thompson, his son Grant Storvold, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was a wonderful father and grandfather. Born in Wiseton, Saskatchewan, Emil spent over three decades working in the pulp and paper industry in Terrace Bay, Ontario; Hinton, Alberta; Castlegar, BC and Prince George, BC before retiring to Blind Bay in 1989.
Emil was predeceased by his parents and 13 siblings, Helen, his beloved wife of 57 years and partner Alice Siddon.
The family would like to thank Anne for her love and commitment to our father to the end of his days.
We would also like to thank Drs. McClellan, De Souza and Lavoie, IH nurse Nancy Porter as well as the many care aides for the excellent care and personal attention given to Emil.
A memorial service will be held on October 8 from 1:00 to 2:30 in the Armstrong Legion, 2526 Pleasant Valley Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
