ESTHER MATILDA WILSON passed away peacefully after a short illness on Dec. 13, 2004 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 78. Esther was born on July 2, 1926 in Denmark and immigrated to Canada at the age of 2. Esther was the Eldest of 8 girls and 2 boys, she was raised in Cornation, Alberta, married Roy in May 1944 and moved to British Columbia in 1949, settling in Lumby in 1954. Survived by loving husband Roy, daughters Kathy (Ed) and Karen (Terry) sons Kenneth (Aileen), Dennis (Barbara), Donald (Roxy), Douglas, Ronald and Terry, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, Sisters Doris, Betty, Donna, Linda, Shirley, Carol and brother Gordie. Esther was predeceased by her parents Hilmar & Elisibeth, sister Edna, brother Kenneth, sons Timothy, Richard, Robert, and grandson Robbie. Esther was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and member of LA Branch #167, and Zone Command of the LA. Very active in the community with the funtastic, minor hockey, babysitting courses. Esther always had an open door policy and the coffee was always on, she was a very strong and caring person to her family and to the community. FUNERAL, December 18, 2004, 1:00 P.M.
