Francis (Frank) Pincosy

Mr. Francis Stanley (Frank) Pincosy was called Home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 15th, 2007 at the age of 96 years. He was born on January 12th, 1911 to John & Rosalia Pointkowski in Alberta where he grew up on a farm. In 1931 he left Leduc, Alberta and moved to the Okanagan Valley. In 1932 he met Laura Linton on Salmon Bench and they were married in 1934. Frank was a hard working farmer and excelled in dairy and growing potatoes, winning awards at the PNE and the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto. In 1960 he moved to Vernon where he worked in house construction, cabinet making, furniture refinishing and as a warehouse manager for Winman’s Furniture Store. He was always very efficient in his work. Frank was known as a man of integrity, a committed Christian and a long time active member of Alexis Park Church until declining health prevented his attendance and involvement. He was the last surviving member of his childhood family and was predeceased by his wife, Laura in 1995. He is survived by his three children, John (Lynne), Bernice (James) Richmond and Philip (Phyllis); ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Those wishing to pay their last respects to Frank may do so at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 19th, 2007 from 7:00–8:00 P.M. A Graveside Service will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery on Friday, July 20th, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with a Celebration Of Frank’s LIfe following at Alexis Park Church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Walt Reimer officiating.
