Our Mum is finally at peace after the trials of Alzheimer’s Disease and finishing off with a broken hip. She was born in Cornwall, England to Charley and Elsie (Matthews) Honey, the middle child of seven children. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Frank and Edgar and sister Christine, son-in-law Ross Perry and two former husbands, our father Robert Munro and Joe Davies. She is survived by her sisters Doris and Shirley, and her brother Arthur. She also leaves hehind her four children: Bonnie (Bev), Donna Jean (Roland), Rob (Cheryl) and Heather (Eddy) as well as eight grandchildren: Eric, Renee, Roy and Leah Ethier, Brian and Brenda Perry and Rob and Jason Munro; 12 great grandchildren plus numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mum’s senior years were spent in the Okanagan after retiring from the Burnaby General and Surrey Memorial Hospitals. She kept busy with bowling, cards, hiking and various cruises and adventures before Alzheimer’s forced her into care. Noric House was Mum’s final home and she was blessed with the care of wonderful and understanding staff, for which we are eternally grateful and give our thanks. Also a sincere thank you to Dr. Kader and Dr. Smit for the compassionate care they gave our mother. We are honouring our Mother’s wishes of no funeral. Freda’s ashes will be scattered by her family over the fields of Chuchua, her beloved childhood home. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly apppreciated.
