Gayle Schartner

SCHARTNER

My dear wife and our loving mother, Gayle Leann (Giesbrecht) Schartner was born to David and Norma Giesbrecht on November 11, 1961 at Burnaby, BC. She passed away peacefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at the Hospice House, Vernon, BC.

In 1973, Gayle moved to Armstrong, BC with her family where she finished her schooling, graduating six years later from Pleasant Valley Secondary School. I, Jim Schartner, met Gayle that same year (1979). We were married April 21, 1984 at the United Church in Armstrong, BC. We enjoyed 23 happy years together.

Mother was the happiest when the four of us were together. She enjoyed yard work, gardening, and the warm sunshine of the outdoors. For the past eight years she worked at the local MarketPlace IGA, filling the place of the office manager for the last several years.

She was predeceased by one brother-in-law and her mother.

Those left to cherish fond memories are me, her

grieving husband, Jim; one daughter Jodi and

husband Carlos; one son Jesse of the home, all of Enderby; her father David Giesbrecht, Enderby; two sisters Peggy (Frank) Keoppel, Robson, BC, Lonnie (Ron) Lapré, Westbank, BC, one brother Dan (Karen)

Giesbrecht, Armstrong; parents-in-law John and Coreen Schartner and their family as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
