GEORGE ALFRED DONALD (FRED) ALEXANDER

February 14, 1938 – June 16, 2006

It is with much sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Fred Alexander on Friday, June 16th, 2006 at the age of 68 years. Fred passed from this life quietly in his sleep at his home in Adams Lake, B.C. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria and her children, Scott and Cindy, his daughter, Samantha (Peter) Cocker of Kamloops, B.C., son, Jim (Iona) Bolger of South Hazelton, B.C., stepson, Rick (Debbie) Munk of Strathmore, Alberta and stepdaughter, Melanie Rosman of Vernon, B.C., his sisters, Dorothy Alexander of Vernon, B.C. and Elsie (John) Cumming of New Westminster, B.C., his brother, Bill Alexander of Vernon, B.C. and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his first wife, Freda, his parents, George & Annie Alexander, his son, Wally Bolger and grandson, Justin Bolger. Fred was born in Grandview, Manitoba and moved with his parents to B.C. as a young boy, growing up in the Armstrong, Hullcar area. His work in the logging industry took him to many areas of B.C. including Williams Lake, Hazelton, Enderby and Grindrod. Fred retired to his dream home at Adams Lake where he enjoyed his favorite pastime – fishing and boating. Cremation preceded a Graveside Service which will be held at the Hullcar Cemetery, Hullcar Road, Armstrong, B.C. on Saturday, June 24th, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. A Reception will follow in the Enderby Legion Hall at 1:00 P.M. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Fred to the B.C. Lung Association, P.O.
