Grace Gloria Kirschner

Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Grace Gloria Kirschner, aged 74 years, passed away peacefully at Vernon on Wednesday, January 18, 2006. Grace will be sadly missed by husband Peter of Armstrong; son Ronald (Judy) of Lavington and grandsons Craig (Ashley) and Bruce; son Gerry (Christal) of Armstrong and granddaughter Ashley; sister and best friend Reba (Herbert) Kirschner of Armstrong and their daughter Susan of Calgary; brother George (Veronica) McInroy of Winfield; brother-in-law Bob Fowler of Winfield; extended family and friends. Grace and Peter moved from Kelowna to their Armstrong farm on Salmon River Road in 1959. She worked at the packing house in Vernon for several years. Grace loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved animals and was leader of the 4H Lamb Club for ten years, enjoyed fishing (ice fishing was a passion), cross country skiing, gardening and nature. A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2006, at Armstrong Spallumcheen Cemetery followed by a 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Zion United Church. Reverend Lorraine Powell officiating. The Kirschner family would like to thank everyone at Vernon Hospice House and Home Support for the wonderful care given to Grace.
